Theme:    To continue our collection of mythology anthologies, we next present to you Japanese. Japan is a culture with a long history. Although the religions have changed over the years, like many others, it first started with grand tales of gods and goddesses. These deities were very important and the tales of some still exist today and are retold. It is said, that the emperors were descended from the sun goddess, Amaterasu, the most well known, however there are stories of many others including her father and brother. Which god or goddess will you choose?

Magic for Beginners

A Charity Anthology for Kids 

A fantasy anthology for children, about children! We want you to write a story of a child first learning to use magic. It can be in a school, as an apprentice, or simply by accident. Explore the first steps of kids discovering who they truly are and that they aren't powerless. Your characters can be any age up to mid-teens. The stories may contain adults as characters, (side characters or mentors), but the main character must be a child. 

No adult themes for this one, please! We plan to visit hospitals and read to the sick children. No poetry.
Word Count: 500-7,000 (Please ask us before submitting a story that is under or over this.)

Submission Period: January 5th - March 5th, 2019

Compensation: This anthology is for charity. We ask that authors submit to donate their stories to the anthology. Contributing authors will receive a PDF copy of the anthology upon publication. This anthology will go to help St. Jude's children hospital.

Summer's Splash

A Summer Fantasy Anthology

The final installment of our fantasy seasons collection. Stories should be about summer with a fantasy element of some kind. Some examples: stories about sun gods/goddesses, summer fairies/sprites, or a quest to bring back summer. There are many possibilities during this time of sun and surf! The stories must be centered around summer, either the season itself, holidays/festivals in the season, or an aspect of it.
We will consider any sub-genre but the story must include a fantasy element. No poetry.
